Sorry no pictures today. I had to run the kid back to the doctor for more drugs and he still can not swallow but at least he says it is kinda better and he drank some water and an icy so that is an improvement. Then because dear hubby wants to have a garage sale this weekend and Brandon had not been able to mow I spent the afternoon riding the lawn mower yes riding and it still took almost three hours, plus I can not duck as well as Brandon so could not get as close to the trees. This is way too big of a yard. I got done just before a very heavy nasty rain storm came in I only got a little wet getting the tractor into the barn. Well hope everyone has a great weekend and I will try to get some pictures done tomorrow as I have sets laid out to string up.

Here is a new necklace and earrings that I finished up this afternoon. I am trying to get some new things done for my show on the 9th and 10th in Grand Forks, ND. I like how it turned out and this one the guys like but then it is symmetrical and they do seem to like that better.

This is the back of a fun bead that is all shinny from a reduction flame. While in my class a couple of weeks ago another student brought some old glass to share so I was playing with a rod of it. There is no way to know what kind of glass it is so it must be used all by it's self. Hence the fun shape rather than other colors of glass. I don't know what made me decide to see if the glass would reduce but I like the effect.

New things at last! I have been working hard all week but it seems kind of like I have been spinning my wheels. The afternoons seem to be disappearing with out much getting done. Oh well guess there have to be days like that. This is a new two strand necklace and earrings that I finished up last night and I really like it but my guys don't for some reason, probably because it is not symmetrical.

And these are some new huge lentils that while the technique is not new it has been a while since I played with it and I kind of got carried away and made all kind of colors. I think my favorite is the blue one but then the red .................. hmm............. I have another necklace started that I will try to get finished up and photographed for tomorrow.

Thought that you might like to see what my booth is looking like for the outdoor shows this year. Still a little crowded on the tables but I am working on that. You loose some space by making the U shape with the tables but it gave us some shade so neither Brandon or I got sun burnt.

I got some beads made today so there should be pictures tomorrow. Yeah!

Well the day has not gone exactly as planned. I had hoped since I have not made any new beads all week (way too many chores) that I would at least finish a bracelet that I had started so you would have some eye candy for the weekend but instead I went to lunch. When dear hubby calls and asks you too lunch you just kind of have to go. At least I do any way I see way too little of him as it is with all this running up and down the road all the time.

So I am off to Orange City Iowa for the Tulip Festival in just a little bit. Come out if you are anywhere close. I have never been to it before but everyone says it is a pretty big deal so we should have fun.

Hi all ! I just got home yesterday and I have to get ready to go back out again Friday. So I did not get to make any new beads today and might not get too all week which might just make me grumpy. Will have to see what I can get done but today I made a couple of new table cloths and some curtains for my display tent. Oh so much fun. :-)

Hi I have a new necklace and earrings to show you. I saw a necklace like this while I was in Omaha last weekend and had to copy it using my beads of course. I made beads this week for a couple more but have not had time to make them up. I am headed back to Omaha tomorrow for a two day class. Yeah!! Play time. Any way so there may not be pictures for a few days once again.

I learned to make this kind of bracelet while visiting my friend Jodie last month and really wanted to try one. Course I had to use one of my beads some where so there it is as the toggle.

A few more pictures of the engine and the firing of it. They thought the road would be the best place since no one could drive on it. Then one of the neighboring farmers came up to the other side of the pond and they thought they were going to have to try to move all of a sudden, but no the guy just had to see what they were playing with. Brandon lost his hat in the wind and had to go swimming for it.

Hi there I thought I had better check in or you would think I did not come back from Omaha. I did but had some fun trying to get here. For those of you that aren't in this area South Dakota and Nebraska got some wicked rain over the weekend. My son was flooded in on the farm where he has been working on a school project with friends, I could not get back home via my regular route because the interstate was flooded out, and my dear husband was at home dealing with some major leaking in my studio. I got home to find buckets full of water all over and the wet vac full where he had vacuumed up what he could. He had also covered my work table and concentrators with plastic just in case. In doing so he knocked over a container of frit and because he knows it is not cheep stuff he let it sit hoping there was some way to get it up off the floor and still use it. Any way it has been a long week and I am headed out again Saturday to Omaha for a class yeah glass fun. I did finish a bracelet today so hopefully tomorrow there will be some glass pictures but for now I am going to see if I can find a picture of the physics project. the three boys made a jet engine that while it did have problems it proved to function and have thrust. What will they think of next.

A new kind of bracelet and a new bead. A friend asked me for a lady bug bead. (Same person who wanted tiny flowers. ) She got hers and I had to use one too. Thought the bracelet needed earrings too so I made some tiny little beads for them.

These etched beads are so hard to photograph but I wanted you to see it was not just a plain brown bead.

Oh so dainty they are........ I like how they turned out though.

I did lots and lots of jewelry making yesterday as I am headed to Omaha for the Hotshops Art show this weekend. I am a guest of Ed from the Crystal Forge. More new jewelry. I am trying to make new things for my summer shows so I have been using lots of the beads I have been making. Loved this pink and black combo so I decided to make up a three piece set. Well sort of there is a pendent, earrings, and the big bracelet. I am also enjoying the lovely weather all spring like, cool and sunny. Well off to do the ironing.
