I have just spent the last two hours trying to figure out how to get my crop cursor back in my photo program. The program does so much, that things are sometimes buried three layers deep.

These are my new bullseye luster spirals. I am not sure you can really see how shiny they are.

I finally got some pictures taken of the beads I did the other day. I love the teal and green ones. That messy glass does such a fun thing making the darker lines in it. And the pink is such a baby pink. I like it with the purple real well.

The other day I told you I had been thinking about Peacock Feathers and sitting at the torch this is what I came up with. My son says they need to be more purple and I think he is right so there may be another addition later in the week.

This is a bracelet I finished up yesterday. I had been working on the stringing of the beads for a while. It took way less time to finish up than it did to string all the beads. All the lampwork is of course mine.

Last night as I sat on the couch Chanel surfing because there was nothing on TV I decided to write this. It isn't very good but it was fun doing something with my brain that I had not done in a very long time.

Twas the night before Christmas and
all through the house
the TV was lousy
and the kid was using his mouse.

The hubby was playing a game
he was losing
the fire was dying because
on the couch mom was snoozing.

The tree was all twinkly
the presents below
the family was lazy
for sure this we know.

The soft bed was calling
and discussions were leaning
of into it falling.

Tomorrow would come as soon as could be
The lovely white snow
No we won't see.

To family and friends this we would shout
with clear and strong voices
this we yell out......

Just before we turn out the light
Merry Christmas to All and to all a goodnight!

Well these are from the other day just brought them in last night. I really like the color combination. With all the talk of frog skin for the last beads what animal do these remind you of?

Friday, December 22, 2006

These are some of the beads from yesterday. I thought when I was making them that they looked like turtles. They really do not look like that but that is what they made me think of. I especially like the big cube.

Thursday, December 21, 2006

These are some test beads from my new ASK brand glass. The one color pressed beads are the different colors of the glass and then I put it over the black to see what it would do. Really like the swirly different tones. Have some fun ideas to try with it in the next few days.
Hmm I am trying to upload some new beads. And the site won't let me so check back later.

This is another new charm bracelet that I finally got done today. It is about all I have gotten done as we have been dealing with getting new cell phones all straightened out. Enjoy!

Sunday, December 17, 2006

Well I hope everyone had a great weekend. I never get as much done on the weekends as I want but I did get these two bracelets made and a light box made so that maybe I can take pictures even at night. There is still not enough light but I can work on that. Hope you enjoy!

These are some of the new gem beads I have been working on. I really like the way the flattened surfaces reflect the light.

Wednesday, December 13, 2006

Hi thought I would share anouther project with the pokey bead things. I made up the pendant this afternoon. I also tried to take some better pictures of the necklace from yesterday but instead came up with a cool close up.

Tuesday, December 12, 2006

Hi there, I have a kind of new idea and have the test beads and neckpiece all finished. The top photo is the beads before they are wire wrapped the little one in the center is what they look like finished. I just finished up the necklace and love it's look already have ideas for anouther one. My son says it should be limey greens so that will be next. Sorry for the very flatand dark pictures we are haveing one of those very gray days. It is very rainy and cold I am sure we are in for some snow.

These are the beads for my friend Mary's bracelet. They are simple red and green white hearts with matching spacers. Now I jusdt have to get the other things she wants done.

Thursday, December 07, 2006

I am sure that by now everyone thinks that I never make beads any more. Well these are for a special order of spacers and it is only about half done. I took a break today and made some beads for a friend who sold her braclet off her arm Saturday and needs to replace it. Then I had to quit working so that I could come in and be here when the plumber came as we are getting our rural water system hooked up.

Hi I am jsut getting back from doing the Hotshops Open House Show with many of the lampworkers from the Omaha area. I tried to post last Thursday and had trouble getting in to post. I am still having trouble getting the silly thing to allow people to comment on each post. We will see if this works now or not.

Wednesday, November 29, 2006

Well I finally am back to posting. It has been so long I can not think of the things I want to say so I guess I will tell you what this is and run for now. I wanted to make a new journal cover so I started with a card front I have always liked and wanted to save and went from there. I like the way it came out and have been enjoying it.

Hi I promised a bracelet earlier and here it is. This is from a pattern by Carol Rodgers who I met when I first started doing beads shows. She writes for a couple of different bead magazine's as well as writing books and traveling to do bead shows. I think the way too warm weather we have had here in Florida made me think spring. I am not really looking forward to that South Dakota weather when I get home next week.

Well today was a day for the zoo. It was warm almost hot most of the day, yet this evening it has turned rainy and chilly. Being warm this morning though made it nice for the zoo all the animals were out and we had a grand time. We road the train through the open areas first thing then walked all the sidewalks and went in all the exhibits. This made for one tired boy yet he made it to the restaurant to have lunch and ate like he had used all his reserve.
I finished up a bracelet last night and promise to get it on here either later tonight or tomorrow.

Hi again, I have been very busy with all the shed cleaning and then my sister came in with her little one so we have been having a very busy time. Griffin is about 2 and a half and loves the park so he has gone most every day this was the first day and it was actually kind of rainy. Other than that day is has been warm almost too warm some of the time. Besides cleaning the yard and building doors we have cleaned the main part of the shed and today I worked on the laundry room. Have a bit more to do out there but ran out of steam. Also ran out of garbage can space but have a nice big pile for when it gets empty again.

Thursday, November 02, 2006

Well here is a very bad picture of the doors I rebuilt today using whatever I could find to build them with. Had to have a few new bolts and one new hing as the old ones were rusted in half or worse. But it closes and keeps out the rain now even if it is not pretty. Thing is that now that my husband knows I can do stuff like this I am probably going to have some projects at home.

Tuesday, October 31, 2006

Well I know this is about as boring as watching some one sleep but this is what I have been up to the last couple of days. Does not really look much different in the back yard for having such big piles in the front yard. The city is supposed to pick this stuff up tomorrow or the next day. Likely as not I will have made the piles bigger by the time they come.

I know you all thought I was in Florida on vacation. I have a jungle and a jumble to deal with. Got to love the fun stuff I can find to do.

Tuesday, October 24, 2006

Two new brackets I made just before leaving for Marshalltown so you might have seen them already if you were there. No beads the last couple of days as I am trying to get ready to head south to my parents in the Florida panhandle.

Thursday, October 19, 2006

Hi again, I just wanted to make sure everyone that might be in the DesMoines area this weekend knows the Bead Bash is actually in Marshalltown, Iowa in the Best Western. So come on out and see all the pretty beads that will be there.

One last set for the week.

Well here are a couple of new sets that I am taking to Marshalltown Friday. I had another set that I wanted to show but am still having trouble loading pictures.

Well this is what it looked like outside this morning. I have been trying to upload pictures all day and for some reason the computer keeps timing out before I can get them to load. The snow of course has pretty much melted off but it is sure cold and yucky out there. Will try to post some beads now but if not maybe I will be able to get them to load tomorrow.

Tuesday, October 17, 2006

Hi there. These are some new beads that I will be taking to the bead show in Marshalltown Iowa this weekend. I love the dragonflies and the new gem beads with them. The gems are hand shaped and I really think they sparkle like gems. The focal beads are etched in each of the sets with the deisgns left shiny. Enjoy!

Wednesday, October 11, 2006

This bead was very hard to photograph. Almost as hard as getting just the right things to make it were. I have been playing with combinations for a couple of weeks and am loving the outcome. The shiny leaves on the matte bead and the little rock beads to go with it. Any way watch the next few days for some other neat combos.

Monday, October 09, 2006

Hi this was part of my display this last weekend. I know you can not see the jewelry all that well here on the computer but the wall looked nice in the gallery and the jewelry looked really neat all framed.

Thursday, October 05, 2006

Hi there! As you know I have been getting ready to go do the Midwest Lampworkers Guild member show this weekend. It actually runs all month in the Hotshops Gallery in Omaha. I still have to pack and load the van before taking off tomorrow but I thought I would take a minute and show off some of the new bead sets that I have been making. Hope you like them because I really do love these colors. Well the guild show opening is tomorrow night so come on out if you are in the area. The last I heard there were 16 members participating so there should be some wonderful art.
