New Kit.........

Coming Soon.. I had an idea in the middle of the night last night and made up two today. I really like the design and so am going to be making up the instructions and ordering supplies to make the kits ASAP. I have all sorts of beads and color combos in my head so there should be a huge variety. Do let me know what you think.

Merry Christmas!

We are off in the morning for Omaha to see the kid. That is if the snow does not stop us. From all reports if we get out of here in the morning we will be ok as it is supposed to come in later in the day. At least they say the wind will not be bad which is what makes it the worst. Since I won't be on the computer much I wanted to say Merry Christmas to all. Have a wonderful holiday.

Julie's Creations

Julie Overbey from Omaha sent me these pictures of her latest creation. She used several of my poppy beads in bright oranges and yellows plus some seed beads to create this unique piece.
It really has lots of texture and does warm up the screen on such a nasty cold winter day.

Parts and Pieces........

of something new. I have a new necklace I am working on. Of course I am really slow when it comes to seed bead work so it is taking a while. At least it is nice and bright as there has been no sun what so ever to photograph the pieces.

New Headpins

Some new fancy glass headpins that are headed for Etsy through the night tonight. I have been going to make these for a while but you know there seems to be so many things I want to make and so little time to make them.
We had a nice sunny day out today and it was even pretty warm. Most of the snow melted. The stuff that is left is where it has piled up in the corners and along the house and trees.
Check out Etsy to see more images of these pieces.
Now I get to make some things with the ones I saved for myself.

Special Order

At the show in Aberdeen I had a customer that wanted some special light pulls for her red and black kitchen. (This is a woman after my own heart I would so love a red and black kitchen or bathroom or both.) She saw my hanging lilies and some copper pieces and we combined them. So here is the finished product. I think they came out pretty neat myself.

Some Pictures

Some pictures from the show in Aberdeen last weekend. This is what the booth looked like without any people in it Saturday morning before the doors opened. All those lights are really necessary when they turn the ceiling lights off for atmosphere.
I have a little display of my kits right up front where people can see them.
And the new Modern Art faces back near where I stand so I can talk about them. They were a pretty good hit this weekend.
And lots of copper pieces which is always good to have.

Well tomorrow is Thanksgiving. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday.

Just a little hint.....

.....of what I have been doing the past couple of weeks. At every show I have been to this fall it seems that I have been asked if I had beads like some in a few of my jewelry pieces. Well I finally got around to making a nice pile of them to sell. Oh how I want to make some jewelry with them though. That is why I have not had any I keep taking them to make jewelry with. I just love the soft glow of the etched glass.

We are headed out in just a little bit for Aberdeen SD to do a show there called Winterfest. It is held in the rec center down town if anyone wants to come out and see what else is new for the Holiday's. We will be there both Saturday and Sunday.

Something New

A few weeks ago I got myself a new site with Art Fire and with all the things going on I have not done much more to get the word out there than place a link on the right side of this page. Thank goodness there are great people who help me out with this. This is the first collection I have been in on this site so click on the link and check it out.

Some new beads at long last.

Well the work corner in the living room is all clean and neat has not been like that in a year and the kitchen table is still cleaned off. My hubby thinks aliens have invaded my body. I have also been trying to work out a new kit. I have it in my mind but the beads took a bit to get to come out. Here's the first set though.
These are big chunky beads and have a great feel in my hand. Now to just get the sample made up.

Just a drive by.

To show you some of the beads I got while we were at the Twin Cities Bead Show. I had no real exact plan for any of these but I am sure they will find lots of uses in my jewelry for next summer.
The show in Mitchell last Saturday was my last one for the month and for a couple of weeks actually so I get to concentrate on making beads for the next couple of weeks.
I do think I am going to be sorry I did not get more of these copper and brass beads. My mind has been swimming around with some ideas to use them.

There is hope.

That someday my house will be clean again. I have been telling my friend Jodie for over a month that I could not find the kitchen table and I really think she did not believe me. Well I decided to give her photographic proof.
I have spent part of each day this week trying to clean it off and put away the huge piles of stuff I had left sitting while I did other things. Today I finally finished. Yes the computer is still there but that is where I use it and I can move it fast enough that we might once again eat there.

Now to see what can be done for my work space in the living room. Oh what a mess!!!
