Good morning! What a lovely day! I am sure it is going to be a warm one but that is okay it is so much better than 12 inches of snow. I am off to Sioux Falls this morning to do a show at Falls Park called Artfalls. We are leaving early to do some car shopping and probably some other shopping as well. The show is Saturday and Sunday so if you are in the area come and check it out. Need a map go here and they will tell you all about the show and some of the other artists participating.

Well today I have huge pile -o- beads to show you. I have a customer that designs wire worked jewelry and every so often she calls me for beads. This is half of the green and black ones I have been making the others are black with the green dots. I hope I will have some left for myself when I get her order all counted out.
And............... a huge pile -o- bracelets that I have been working on for my show this weekend. I will be in Sioux Falls at the Artfalls festival at Falls Park.

Well I finally got some beads made to give you all some eye candy this morning. I am just loving all of them. These luster ones came out so simple but really elegant the picture even shows some of their shinny look. And the edges on this set with the frit just seems to make it stand out.

Good morning! I thought I would show you some of the things I got done yesterday. Have a couple of shows coming up and wanted some new jewelry so I have been hording my own beads to make some things and I finally took time yesterday to get them done.

Some earrings.........
And a new bracelet with matching earrings and pendant.

Okay so you know I have not had a very creative week, well I decided to just play the day before yesterday for a while at the beginning of my torch time. I was having a good time and I made these fun shaped twisted things. And then.................................. I made this...........................What was I thinking?

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Well once again it has been ages since I last posted. Seems I have been in kind of funk all this week and it has been really hard to be creative. I have made mostly spacers and disks for my bead boxes which I needed to do but they don't really make for eye candy. And my son and I have been working on some of the chores that go along with the fun job of making beads. So I decided to show some of that but first.

A bracelet that I finished up last weekend while working my show in Watertown.
These are the bags we have been working on. We have over 200 finished and another 100 over half done. Brandon has been doing the sewing while I did the cutting out and other little chores. Yesterday I noticed he had the machine running just as fast as it would go. Guess he is getting used to my little sweat shop.
And these are the beginnings of earring cards. They take a little while because the silver paint around the edges has to dry before you can go on.

Good morning! I am back from my little trip to Watertown and I just have to tell you about the restaurant I was at. The artists in this show were each set up in a different business yesterday and I happened to be the guest of the Past Times Coffee shop. Well it is just the neatest restaurant. It is in two old buildings downtown and they have made a very neat place out of it using the old days as a theme. There is room to move and you can hear yourself think besides that the staff is lovely to deal with and they really made me feel welcome. Try it sometime if you get the chance. End of commercial. :-)

Wow !!! It has happened again. My bead made it into a magazine and this time on the front cover. Carole Rodgers a dear friend used my bead in her design and she made the cover of the August issue of Jewelry crafts magazine. I have not seen the actual magazine yet but Leroy, Carole's husband sent me a picture of the cover.

I am getting ready to go to Watertown, SD in the morning they are having their Art Walk and I will be the artist that is the guest of Past Times coffee shop. Each artist is in a different business down town and we will be there from 10 till 5 tomorrow so if you are in the area stop by and see me.

I went out to my studio this afternoon to make a few beads and this is what I found waiting for me. Aren't they just beautiful ! My husband put his collection of cacti inside for the winter and he has not gotten them back outside yet which might be a good thing since we have had so much rain lately. Maybe there will be bead pictures tomorrow. Oh we can always hope can't we.

Hi again. We finally got home from North Dakota Monday night and I spent most of yesterday trying to recover from the trip. Met lots of fun people while we were there and had a good time enjoying all the restaurants.

I have realized in the past few weeks that while I do not carry a purse that I needed something for my keys, cell phone, and sunglasses. So yesterday afternoon I whipped up this little guy and while it is not near finished because it needs some beaded fringe and some bead work on the flap I want to try it out for a few days to see if it is going to do what I want. Then I will show you how it progresses into something a little less boring.

Hope everyone is staying dry we are getting lots of rain again today and may all week.

Thursday, June 07, 2007

Well we did not blow away last night and really did not even get that much rain but the temperature sure dropped. Last night is was down right hot out and tonight you need a jacket. These are the last pictures for a few days as we head out in the morning for North Dakota. I will be in booth S-45 at the Grand Cities Art Fest in Grand Forks, ND. Actually from what I can tell of the map I will be across the river in Minnesota. Here is a link if you want to see more about the show or find the map to come a visit with us.

This is a new charm bracelet and a new style of earrings. I have not used chain in my earrings before so they were different for me to make. I am sure it is not a new idea that I saw it some where. My friend Jodie uses chain so maybe hers gave me this idea. But I do like them.

And another charm bracelet but this one is very delicate and sophisticated. It is also black and French Vanilla so it has that hint of ivory rather than being bright white.
And one last picture of another pair of the new dangle style earrings.

I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Thought I had better get this posted and my computer unplugged. We are supposed to get some very nasty weather tonight. There are supposed to be 80 mile an hour winds. Where we come from that is a class one hurricane, here it is just a little bit of extra wind. I am still having a terrible time with my email Stephanie and Kathy if you have not gotten messages from me please email me again. I seem to be able to get messages but not send them out reliably. Hope everyone stays safe and dry.

Some new beads for you to see. My son really liked this combination I think they look like Blue Pebbles so that is their name. I always have trouble with naming my beads.
These two sets look like Waves at Night. See I can come up with the titles some of the time. Enjoy them.

This is what I got done on Saturday while I was sitting in the garage waiting for people to come to the garage sale. It was so cold and rainy that we did not have a very good turnout. It was really hard to get a picture of, the black and white just does not show the detail very well.

Sunday, June 03, 2007

Hi ! I am having trouble with my Internet provider and many people are not getting my emails but they do not bounce back to me for about three days so if anyone has emailed me and not gotten an answer to a question your answer is probably out there lost. Just drop me another email with a phone number and I will call you. I seem to be getting my messages just fine but can not send them out.
Another new idea the other day was to take and make the same beads using different color combos and I really liked how they turned out.

If the garage sale is slow again today I might just get a picture made of the bracelet that I finished stitching yesterday.

Friday, June 01, 2007

Hi again I promised pictures today sorry they are so late. Took a long time to do all the garage sale stuff. These two sets have a similar theme. Melted in dots, different but the same and two different shapes and different colors. For totally different looks.
