Hi, Sorry to be gone the past few days I have been working hard all weekend to get ready for the bead shows coming up next month. I start out in Lincoln next weekend and have four shows in a row so I need to have lots of beads.

What do you think of these?

Something new to look at today. We are getting a lot of wind right now and it is bending the trees, hope they are as flexible and the wiggle in these beads.

Good afternoon, Something new for you to look at on this lovely fall day. The sun is shining there are beads in the kiln and the dishes are already in the dishwasher. Yeah! now off to see what else I can get done.

Some times I realize that I do not use certain colors. Orange is one of them so I ordered some new glass called orange marmalade and really like it. It makes me think of the fall leaves in Michigan where there are many more red and orange leaves than here in South Dakota where there aren't hardly any trees. So for your viewing pleasure.

Fall..................

Hi there! Sorry to be missing in action this weekend but I was having fun with some visiting family. My two aunts and uncle who are really cousins (Since they are my parents age we have always called them aunt and uncle.) came for a very quick visit and to bring me two chairs that have been in my family a long time. We ate and played cards and just had a good time all weekend. I did give them a tour of Huron it took about an hour on Saturday.

The whole group...........
One of the two chairs the other is a rocker that is almost the same..........

The fancy top of the chair.........

And finally some new beads. "Cool Breeze's"...........

Hi there. Sorry about not posting something new yesterday the day just got away from me. I have started going in the mornings to get a load of firewood and so my day gets later and later. But today I have some new ones for you to enjoy. I did get a little carried away with the frit but man I was just loving all the colors. So I made different styles of the same colors I liked how the different shape of the bead kind of made different colors come out. Enjoy!

Well another weekend has come and gone. I spent today in the barn making beads. These are some from last week that I like, they turned out so soft looking after I etched them.

Good morning! I am headed out once again this morning to show off my beads and jewelry. The Farm Bureau folks are hosting a Relay for Life benefit today and asked me to be there. So for once I am doing a show right here in my home town. I have to be there at 8 and I think the show is from 9 to 4 but do not quote me on that one I have had a head cold you know the brain cells are still trying to recover. Anyway I had best get going and thought I would show you some new beads before I left.

Ribbons..........

Good morning! It has gotten quite chilly around here so I am thinking about the gathering of firewood which is a fall chore every year. Making beads has been kind of hard the past couple of days because I almost feel I should be doing other things. I have gotten a few done though, Enjoy!

I told you all that I was going to Sioux Falls Saturday for the Washington Pavilion Sidewalk Arts Festival well I have to tell you that while is was wet and quite chilly I did win an award while I was there. This piece "Amber Urchin" took a White Ribbon Merit Award from the arts council. Made me feel pretty good and this is the second time this piece has won an award. So that made it even better. Okay I am done patting myself on the back. Thanks for listening to me.

Hi again, I have been playing with some new glass that I got at the gathering. I have been using it mostly for direction just to see what the reactions would be but I sure like both of these the one makes lovely mirrored dots, and the other is a multi color of brown or tan that I really loved making ribbons with.
I am off this afternoon to Sioux Falls for tomorrows Sidewalk Art Festival at Washington Pavilion. You have to set up for this one so early in the morning I figured I needed to spend the night over there, so off we go again today. Here is a link in case you are thinking of coming on out to see us. We will be in booth 49. http://www.sidewalkartsfestival.com/

Hi ! I wanted to show you a new toy I got last month. It has been lots of fun so far. Of course I had a bit of a learning curve getting used to it but it really helped with the necklaces below. Now I want to do some more of the crocheted bracelets that you have to have the beads strung all on the cord before you start.
And the necklaces made with the new tool..........

HI again. We got home from Artslpash in Sioux City Iowa last late last night. Got stopped about 4 miles from home for a sobriety test. The police had cars on both sides of the four lane with all their flashers going. From a distance it looked like one huge wreck had happened. When I got close and finally saw a sign I had to tell the officer that between all the lights and the bugs on my windshield he was pretty hard to see standing in the middle of the road. My son said that asking me if I had been drinking was not much of a sobriety test. I said that seeing a gray haired mom in a mini van with her 17 year old son probably made him think I was telling the truth. Besides the fact that I did have to answer about 4 questions. well on to some eye candy.

I thought you might like to see these bracelets I made up before I went to the show.

And another new set of beads.
