Happy Holidays

Happy Holiday’s everyone.  The past few months have gone in the blink of an eye.  With family emergencies and two family deaths in the span of a month (and now the loss of a dear friend last night.) I have missed several shows and had my Etsy shop closed.  I have been working hard this last week to not only get the Etsy store back up and going but to figure out how else I might work to make up for being gone for so long.
I have decided not only to have an Etsy sale but to also offer on my blog and Facebook Page as much of my jewelry as I can get photographed in the next couple of weeks.  I have enlisted Jeff’s help with the photos so that I still have time to make beads, and maybe to make a few new necklaces or something.  Much of the jewelry with be marked with sale prices and those who follow my Facebook Page with be the first to see the newest pieces for next year.
First up is this little pair of earrings. Now marked at $25.  Just comment here or on my Facebook Page to make them yours.

Visit my Etsy store and see the current coupon code for the sale there.

Also remember to Like my Facebook Page so you see the new pieces as they get listed.

These new big cone beads are headed to WI and IL with me early early tomorrow morning.  If you want to see where the trunk shows will be check here.  I do know that every one of the trunk shows I will be doing demos and a couple of people have mentioned snacks.  So if you are any where close do stop in to see me.

NEW!!! cone shaped flower power beads.

These are some new cone shaped Flower Power beads.  The front of the cone has the Flower Power daisy shape of my flatter Flower Power beads.  These are cone or bell shaped with a ruffled lip.
I made some with a different color around the edge and some all one color.
Frankly I can not decide which way I like them better.  I also have all kinds of ideas popping into my head for ways to use these and no time to work on anything since I am leaving Thursday for WI and IL.
These are pretty small.  They of course kept growing as I was working but I had in my mind that they would be small.

It's Fall

School has started and lots of new fall leaves have been being made.  I love to take a picture of a nice big pile of beads and leaves are always fun to make.
I made some nice big leaves.  These are about 3 inches long.
I also made lots of smaller beads so I could make them up into sets for the trunk shows and my fall bead shows.
I think that pile made about 9 different sets with a few extra singles.  Aren't these a yummy color?  Do make sure you read my post from earlier today because all these beauties are headed to Wisconsin and Illinois for the trunk shows.

Upcoming Trunk Shows

I know I have mentioned that I will be doing trunk shows starting this Friday but I wanted to remind everyone where I will be and when.

I will be at JSM Bead Coop in Sheboygan, WI this Friday and Saturday the 12th and 13th.  do check out their Facebook page for more information.

During the week next week I will be at Funky Hannah's in Racine, WI.  The dates there are the 16th and the 17th.  Here is a link to their Facebook page

The following weekend I will be in Aurora IL at A Beadtiful Thing for the 19th -21st.  Find more information on their Facebook Page.

Etched fancy flowers

I made some of my fancy flowers with the simple combination of clear and black glass then etched them.
I really like how the etching makes them soft like sea glass.  I made enough to take a bunch with me on my road trip of trunk shows.
And even list a few on Etsy in just a few minutes.

I noticed........ Stitches Midwest last month that one of my trays of really big lentils was more than half empty.
So I have made it a goal the last couple of weeks to make a few of them every day that I made beads.
I really like these red and yellow ones.  The bottom one the color just seems to set off the black metallic glass so very well.
These are big beads right about an inch and a half or 37 mm across.  Great focal beads.

Another color combo....... a spiky necklace.  I told you I was having fun making spikes.  I actually have extras that I will be bringing to my next few shows as fancy glass headpins.
The purples in this just sort of asked for some new spikes with added frit speckles.  If you take a close look the spikes you will see the ones on a white base with multiple colors of purple on them.
As always I made earrings too and I think I need to make more of these.

I hadn't made ........

.............spiky necklaces for a little while.  Then a customer asked for a commissioned piece and I got carried away making spikes.
This necklace hangs a little differently than the ones I have done in the past and I really like how the big cluster looks.  That pop of red in there just had to be. :-)
Of course there had to be earrings to go with.

I have been .........

............working with the black metallic glass again.
I just love the colors that this glass produces.  It has that look of Racu pottery that just amazes me how it looks iridized and matte all in the same piece.
These pieces are all headed for my Etsy shop but I will be making more to take to next months trunk shows.

A new crochet, glass.......

.........mixed jewelry set.  I love these big beads ( the front ones are about an inch or maybe a little bigger around) mixed with the crochet circles.
I think it is the smooth look of the glass with the soft fiber of the circles that intrigues me. I just had to make another collection.
This time I used ivory with silvered ivory dots and turquoise circles.  I thought they all needed to be on the copper findings.
This pendant just called out to have it's picture taken twice..........
.........and of course I made earrings.

Flower Power Flowers

I haven't for some reason made my Flower Power beads in a while so I worked really  hard for a couple of days and made a big batch.
I was concentrating on pairs because so many people like to make earrings with these.
I also made some mini flowers because I have an earring idea that I hope to get worked out in the next week.  I of course listed some of each in my Etsy store that you can find here.

Multi color blue poppy beads.....

...........are the flower of the day.  We are back from Stitches Midwest and working hard to get back into the rhythm of things.
So some pretty blue flowers are headed for Etsy and a few for my next few shows as well.
I am not getting as much studio and work time this week as normal because hubby had shoulder surgery and we have been going to Physical Therapy every day.  We start on three days a week next week which will make it much better.
Do make sure to check out my Etsy store if you are interested in some flower beads.

Wrap Style Treasure .................

If you are looking for the Choosy Chicks blog hop you can click here

..............Necklaces have been popping up on my work table.   I think I have about 6 new color combinations.
They all have mini flower beads and little surprises almost every inch.  You have to be on the look out to find................
..............the owl, or the dragonfly.
I just love the colors in the green and copper one to the back of this picture............

..............that goes with these earrings.  I think part of the love comes because I just adore these leaf beads.
I had to make some lovely flower earrings to go with the necklaces too.  All of these pieces will be with me at my next few shows.

Lovely Fall inspired Jewelry Today

If you are looking for the Choosy Chicks blog hop you can click here
I love love love this amber and mineral green combo.  I have made these beads many times and I always have to make some jewelry out of them.
This time I was aiming for enough big almost focal size beads to make one of these glass and fiber necklaces.
I actually got carried away and made enough and then some so I still have a few on my work table.
I couldn't help myself and made a whole series of necklaces and earrings. I made a few bracelets too but you will have to wait for another day to see those.
I have to try and find some more of these post findings I love them so and have had them in my collection long enough I do not know where they came from.
Okay if you are getting really tired of looking at this lovely coppery goodness this is the last picture for today.  Hope you like them.  If you would however like to see them in person I will be at Stitches Midwest in Schaumburg IL this coming weekend and you can see them there.
