The last three days......

..............have been just amazing.  I love this part of the country and could so move here.  Even the rain today was okay. It did drop in temperature almost half of what it was the first couple of days of our trip.  Even Jeff needed his coat.  Here we are in the rain forest beside one very big tree.
Mother Nature's very own yarn booming.
I sat for a long time on the beach and just loved looking out at the ocean.  But I also had to build a few little rock sculptures.
I swear it looked like scenes from the movies.  Just Beautiful.

Our trip west.

Brookings was hot hot hot so I spent most of the first two days of this week trying to recover and to get packed for this trip.  We headed out Wednesday in close to 100 degree temps and of course for the first 5 hours there is nothing to look at.
Jeff had to of course stop in Wall and get a new Sturgis t-shirt but other than that South Dakota was a blur of heat coming off the pavement.
Montana got a little better but not much I am really not into the high dry mountains.  And with it being so hot everything pretty much looks dead.
Then yesterday we started to see some green fields and some trees on the hills.  We made it to Spokane WA and decided to wait until today to go further.  We wanted to drive a highway that runs up close to the Canadian boarder.
Now these are mountains.  It was beautiful and it cooled way down.
We stopped several times to take pictures and to just enjoy looking at the mountains.
Of course I had to show you the snow.
And more snow on July 20th.
My truck loves to go new places can you tell?
Almost forgot we saw some amazing waterfalls...........
.................and lakes.

One last picture.........

................before we leave for Brookings.  These beads on a bobbin are something new for me.  I have been wanting the tools to make them for a while and went ahead and got them at Bead and Button.  I want to have a whole bunch of them ready and on ribbons for Stitches which is just about a month away.  I am taking a few with me to the Brookings show this weekend to see how people like them.

If you missed yesterdays post I will be in Brookings SD this weekend for the Brookings Art Festival.  You can find me in booth 108 along the flower beds on the north side of the park.

New Row Counter Bracelets

Have been made and are headed out to Brookings SD this weekend for the Brookings Art Festival.  We are leaving tomorrow to go over and set up the tent.  With all this heat I did not want to get there Saturday morning and be exhausted just getting set up.
A couple of the bracelets are headed for Etsy as well.

A long necklace.........

............designed for wrapping.  I finally was playing with some of my Bead and Button purchases.  I got a bunch of new flowers and leaves, and little metal beads.  And in this necklace I mixed all sorts...
.... of things together.  The seed bead base is one of Glass Garden Beads seed bead mixes, which I can not seem to pass by with out buying more.
I of course had to put in a few of my lampwork beads.  I made these flowers about half the size of my normal ones and just love them in the necklace.

Customer request.

One of my customers requested a necklace in amber, turquoise, and cobalt.  She is headed out on a cruse this month so I kind of tried to keep that in mind when I was making this.
It was fun getting out of my own color combos and I really like how it came out.
