to change the blog today. These are a few more thimbles I have been playing with. I have to tell you I made a really pretty one yesterday but it was too wet to photograph this afternoon.
And Ring-A-Dings are being added to Etsy tonight. Go have a look.

Flower Buttons
These are some of the new two hole flower buttons I have been making. These ruffled ones are a lot like the poppy flower beads I make.
I really like these abstract flowers though and want to make some more of these as soon as the weekend is over and I can get back to making beads. There always seems to be way too many other chores on the weekends.

New and different.........
Things are going on Etsy this weekend. Since I have been listing lots of Pandora size beads on Etsy lately I decided this weekend I needed to list a few of the other new things I have been making. So I just listed these Susie Flowers and have plans for other things throughout the day. We are also laying the floor in the bathroom today so I will be here off an on. You will have to check back to see what I have added.

Lots of Flowers..........
Have been getting made for kits. I have the instructions about done but have been doing some tweaking to them. I am still waiting on a couple of little things I need to actually package the kits but they all should be here in the next couple of weeks.
As I have been working on the flower bracelet kit I have also been making new color combos up for the 6 Strand Bracelet Kit so if you see me at the show in June there should be lots to choose from.

The cat and the kitchen sink?
No this is not the kitchen sink but it was what was in our bathroom until a couple of weeks ago. We are in the middle of a bathroom spruce up. I would say remodel but we are really not going that far. Thing is with all the strange problems it has been in the middle of it for a month now. Yesterday we found out that the guy who had the house before us tapped off the upstairs bathroom power for a plug in the downstairs bathroom. Just fun wild stuff. Any way I guess the cat thinks we never give him fresh water any more since he had to drink rain water out of the sink on the deck.
These are some more of the earthy buttons I have been making. I really wanted them to look like the big lentil beads I showed you so I made them bigger and played with the glass more than on the small buttons.

Earth tone buttons.
Just a few more of the buttons I have been working on. Figured out a rack to hang the cards on yesterday so have to get busy finishing that up.
Had a kiln disaster just a bit ago so quit making beads for the day. I was working away and tried to put one too many beads in the kiln and the pile I was so neatly making decided to slide right out the bead door and one of my poor beads slide right out of the kiln and onto the floor. Poor poor dead bead. At least I did not try to grab it. :-)

Watch
On our trip back from Florida last month I lost my watch. It was all my fault it was in my pocket because I had not been wearing it while we were working on the shed. I must have pulled my keys out and dropped the watch. Any way to make this novel end I have been looking for a month for a new watch and since I am picky and we live in nowhereville I have not been able to find the kind I always get. So the other day I was in that place ( the place I Hate) and decided I had to have something so I was looking at the cheapest watches they had and looky FLAMES! I can't wear it while torching because it is plastic but hey it works in my pocket. Oh and if I loose it I can get another one that has purple flames for $7.00.

New Kit
Well this is not actually the kit but this is one of the samples for my newest kit. The instructions still need to be written and pictures taken of the construction steps but it is all coming together. I have been working on flower beads for the kits the last two days and man is the orange one going to be pretty.

River Rocks
No these are not stone they are glass. I love making these beads to look like stone though you have to really heat up that glass and get it moving all around to bring out the colors.
Here are some buttons I made with the same idea. They are about 3/4 of an inch across and have a shank back on them.
No beads have gotten made today though I am afraid, as I have been out riding the lawn mower for most of the day. The grass was way too long so you had to go so slow to get the dang thing to cut. I think I was out there about 5 hours, of course we do have two acres. Maybe it will stay dry enough that I can cut it before it gets so long the next time. It was also nasty cold out there today I had on two sweatshirts and a turtleneck and wore my hood up all day.

The Remodel
Well things never surprise me any more, at least not with this house. See the lovely orange carpet that was under the bathroom cabinet. Jeff was going to sand the cabinet in place but yesterday broke a pipe in the wall while trying to install shut off valves under the sink. One emergency visit from the plumber later the cabinet is in the barn being refinished as we speak.
