There is hope.

That someday my house will be clean again. I have been telling my friend Jodie for over a month that I could not find the kitchen table and I really think she did not believe me. Well I decided to give her photographic proof.
I have spent part of each day this week trying to clean it off and put away the huge piles of stuff I had left sitting while I did other things. Today I finally finished. Yes the computer is still there but that is where I use it and I can move it fast enough that we might once again eat there.

Now to see what can be done for my work space in the living room. Oh what a mess!!!

Well it has started.

Winter that is winter has started. And with a nasty vengeance no less. The wind is cold and wet and I so am not ready for this kind of mess.
Maybe if we are lucky this will go away for a week or so.

Oh boy!

Just in Time

I am finally getting around to show you some images from last weekends show just in time for me to leave before dawn tomorrow for this weekends show. These images are all from last Saturday in Lincoln. We honestly were a little busier than this makes it look this was really pretty early in the day.
There were lots of people around who were not beaders as we were in the same conference center as a huge Textile conference.
This was my friend Jodie's booth and see she has people around.

Jodie and I will both be in DesMoines Iowa tomorrow evening and Saturday for the Treasures bead show which is being held at the Iowa State Fairgrounds. I sure would love the company if you are close come out and see us.

Off to the Show

We are headed out in the morning for Lincoln NE for the Nebraska Bead Society show. I thought I would show off just a few more beads before I left.
These are my new modern art beads. I have wanted to make some kind of face bead for a while.
And these are what I came up with. I really like them. And they are so much fun to make. Each one is different of course. For some reason the base of the bead just tells me how the face is supposed to go.
If you are any where near the Cornhusker Hotel in downtown Lincoln come and see them for yourself. The show is Saturday only.

Franky and Spidy...........

are all decked out and ready for Halloween. I had to make some kind of Trick or Treat beads since I had not made any pumpkins this year.
And a Franky thimble just had to follow.

Something Old is New Again

I have been revisiting these beads. I made a bunch up last month to use in some jewelry I was making and decided I needed to make some up for the Lincoln Bead Show which is this weekend. I really love how sparkly they look and how their nice chunky size feel in your hand and work up into jewelry. If you check some of my older posts you will see them used in the new copper pieces.
