Facebook Group Showcase.
Time just flies by I seem to forget to post here like I want to. Tonight I realized I didn't even do a post about my showcase in the Facebook group Glass Open Market. You have to belong to the group to see the posts but if you are interested the entire wall is filled with my beads until tomorrow night at 9pm. Stop by and check it out. https://www.facebook.com/groups/GlassOpenMarket/

Nice Bright colors
These are so much fun to make. I love finding out which colors just pop against one another. I etched a batch of these as well and love them too.

Shiny metallic spirals.
We are in Hopkins setting up for the show this weekend. Please do try to come and see us. We will be in the back by the stage again. I know some of you missed us last fall but we have out old spot back. Here is a link to the show website if you would like more information. http://www.beadsbydee.com/Bazaar/bazaar.html And look shiny metallic spirals. I am bringing a few sets of these and I think they are way prettier in person.

And then there was etching.
Of course some of the beads from yesterday had to be etched. I love the
way they almost seem to glow. These are all the little Saturn style
beads I make and use so much of the time.
I so love the pale amber and black together.

Back to basics.
I had to make a few sets of basic dot beads, and I made them in some of the basic basic colors that I
love to work with over and over. This type and color of beads to me just seem classic.

Etched fancy flowers
I made some of my fancy flowers with the simple combination of clear and black glass then etched them.
I really like how the etching makes them soft like sea glass. I made enough to take a bunch with me on my road trip of trunk shows. And even list a few on Etsy in just a few minutes.

Etching the morning away.
I spent over an hour this morning etching beads. I have a really large pile drying on the counter. I even had to put the spoon in the picture so you could tell how big a pile it was. A bunch of these are for special orders but there will be plenty left to list on Etsy. https://www.etsy.com/shop/tanyamcguire

There are certain beads...............
...........that I hate trying to photograph. These Alice's Garden cone shaped flowers are one of them.
When you have them standing up this way they look fine but don't really give the person the idea of how big they are or really what shape they are. They look really fun in person and I love the way they look in a piece of jewelry. (You can see one piece here.)
But when you try to show the shape or that the bead is a cone, the photos just really do not look the way I want them too. I have tried to figure out what it is that I am doing that I am not happy with and can not seem to find the solution.
If anybody has some suggestions about working with the cone flowers I sure would love to hear them.

Another 3D flower.
This 3D flower is very different in color from the last one. It's base is a pale blue with bright colors on the edges. It is also more of a round shape than the copper one. This one is also headed to Etsy this morning.

..............dainty little friendship bracelet. I made these with some great cotton cord I got last year at Bead and Button and still had not used yet. ( I sure don't know why because I love it.) I made the bracelets with a sliding knot so they would be adjustable and added little beads to the ends just for fun. Lots of bright colors.

Limited Edition Spacers
In an effort to reduce the piles in my studio I am using up some rods of glass that I have held back because they are the last of limited edition glass. They might be the last rod or two of something that the color changed in the next batch or the last little piece of a pound from special runs. I am going to list them on Etsy as I get them finished up. The number of spacers in each listing is all I have left.
