Long Focal Beads

I have not made long focal beads in a while.  I had so much fun playing with them for almost 2 days. These are all 2 inches long or longer.

Of course..........

........I had to make a few giant lentils to take to Tucson with us.  These baby's are pretty big a good inch and a half across and about 3/4 of an inch thick.

I noticed........

..............at Stitches Midwest last month that one of my trays of really big lentils was more than half empty.
So I have made it a goal the last couple of weeks to make a few of them every day that I made beads.
I really like these red and yellow ones.  The bottom one the color just seems to set off the black metallic glass so very well.
These are big beads right about an inch and a half or 37 mm across.  Great focal beads.

End of the Day Beads

What are end of the day beads? If I haven't said this before they are the beads you make with all the pieces you have laying on your work table at the end of the day.  The August issue of Bead Design Studio had an article about Lori Greenberg and the end of the day beads that she makes.  She was using her lentil press and it made me want to make some lentils.  I do not know why but for some reason I usually make round beads when I make end of the day beads. These were fun now I just want to make some more.

New cone shaped focal beads.......

..............are something I have been playing with the last couple of weeks.  I really think they are fun.  And I have a couple of other ideas for necklaces with them this is just the first.
I have made several of them and a couple are headed for Etsy.  The rest are headed for my next bead show.  That is if they don't find another home first.
