As always we had a busy weekend around here. Jeff worked outside as much as he could with all the rain we have been having and he worked on our little house. We will have to call the plumber once again. Someday we might get all the leaks fixed. (previous owners left the water on with no heat)
I spent Saturday making beads and Sunday finishing up these Flower Power Pendants and .......
..........earrings that I had started last weekend and had sitting here on the table all week. After my last show I did not have a single one of these left so thought I had better get busy. I also want to list at least one pendant and one pair of earrings on Etsy.
I also made up a couple pair of earrings to go with this necklace.

New Necklace
Another fun necklace using some of my Alice's Garden beads. The beads in this piece hang like a pendant from a chain.
It sits at the base of the neck and make a real statement.
And I love the little fringe pieces that look like the flower stamens.

Limited Edition Spacers
In an effort to reduce the piles in my studio I am using up some rods of glass that I have held back because they are the last of limited edition glass. They might be the last rod or two of something that the color changed in the next batch or the last little piece of a pound from special runs. I am going to list them on Etsy as I get them finished up. The number of spacers in each listing is all I have left.

A new Poppy Necklace
A new Poppy flower necklace finished and ready for my summer shows. These red poppies are always one of my favorites. I just love the red and black together.
I made use of the double flower bead that I have been showing off this past year.

New Daisy flowers and Necklace
I have been working on some new little flower beads. These little daisy's are smaller than my other flowers. They are only about 3/4 of an inch across and I try to make them even smaller than that. I just love their tiny, dainty look.
I of course had to make them in some nice bright colors and will be putting some on Etsy as soon as I finish up with this post.
I just love the look of these so much I had to really quick make up a new necklace to show them off. I am in love with how this piece fits just right at the base of my neck and would keep it for myself if I ever really wore jewelry, but instead I will probably be showing it at my next show.

52 hats in a year
52 Hats in a year was my goal starting last August. I have a couple months to go and I am doing well with getting them done. I counted today and I have 45 finished hats. Since I keep a bag with something to work on while I wait for things like the dentist and the oil to be changed and I always have something going by my chair in the living room, I have 2 more half finished.
Last fall when I went and stayed in Florida with my parents for several weeks, a really good family friend and their next door neighbor gave me a big box of coned yarn that she had from when she did a lot of machine knitting. Some of it is very fine lace weight so I have just been combining several strands as seems fitting to make a hat. I finished several hats while I was staying in Florida and then I had to fly home so the yarn stayed at mom and dad's until we went down last month.
These are the hats I have finished the last couple of weeks since we got home from our trip. Thank you Miss Betty for the yarn for these. I didn't even put a dent in the cones to make these and my mom sent yarn home with me as well so I will have to just keep making hats until August when the show is. Of course I did buy some yarn for myself a sweater while we were at Stitches so I might just have to stop when I reach 52 and make my sweater.
This is one of my favorites from this batch. I almost forgot to tell you what the hats are all for. At the Stitches Events that I am a vendor there is a group called Halos for Hope that collect handmade hats for cancer patients. The hats will all go to this project and the group sends them all over the country to where they are needed.
